Urgent Response Network

Pack a punch from your PC!

In today's 24/7 media environment news stories move quickly, so we need to be able to respond quickly and effectively when a story breaks. Republic's Urgent Response Network has been set up to support our media and lobbying activities when a story requires a rapid and wide-reaching response.

By signing up to the Urgent Response Network you can help strengthen our media presence - sending emails or texts to news programmes, calling radio phone-in debates or writing to the press. With some issues additional parliamentary lobbying can also be important, to quickly reinforce our message to MPs and ministers.

Urgent Response Actions may include:

  • Sending a letter to your local or national newspaper
  • Responding to radio phone-ins
  • Sending emails to news programmes, supporting the republican point of view
  • Writing to your MP, asking for their view on a particular issue
  • Responding to particular articles online or in national newspapers

By signing up to the Network you will receive:

  • All our press releases, as they are sent to the press
  • Urgent requests for you to email TV or radio programmes, or to participate in radio phone-in debates
