Schools Programme

schools Like many campaign groups, we are routinely invited to speak at schools and colleges around the country. Our Schools Programme Working Group is busy developing the content of talks as well as putting together a new Schools Pack.

Whether you're a student, teacher, society organiser or college lecturer, you can arrange a talk or debate by sending us an email. Get in touch with Graham Smith at g.smith@republic.org.uk

We believe it is crucial that students are given every opportunity to learn about the British constitution, criticisms of it and alternatives that are proposed by groups such as Republic. Students represent our country's next generation of citizens and decision makers. They must be equipped with the necessary facts and arguments if they're to engage with debates about the way Britain is governed.

The Schools Programme can take various forms, whether it's taking part in special school events, giving talks to politics and citizenship classes or tackling the issues in debating and politics societies.

Schools we've visited in recent years have been in and around Greater London, Sussex, Kent, Norfolk, Wiltshire and South Wales. We're continually looking for new speakers in other parts of the country and should be able to arrange a visit no matter where you are in the UK.
